In Andijan State Medical Institute, a series of events are being held to ensure the execution of the Decree of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev of 13th September, 2017 ” On the program of measures for development of the system of publishing and distribution of the books, book reading and reading culture and propagation “.
On November 1, 2018 in the conference hall of the Institute the event titled “Book – a mirror of spirituality” with the participation of the 4th year students of Pediatric faculty was held at the initiative of professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases Odiljon Salohiddinov.
The event was opened by pro-rector on Youth Affairs P.Askhanov.
Several lectures titled “The book is a friend and companion”, “The importance of books in the family”, “The Book, I grew up with”, “Books are friends and companions” were delivered.
Professor O.Salohiddinov told the students about books and propagation for reading, as well as interesting stories from his life. Besides, associate professor of the department R. Yuldashev shared the views on reading books, attitude to the book.
At the end of the event, the speakers noted that the lectures were interesting and that they had received spiritual pleasure from the event. Particularly, the students Jamshid Ashuraliev and Muyassar Umarova, said they enjoyed the impressions they had got from the event and they were even more interested in reading.
At the end of the event, active students were rewarded with books.
