The person who has chosen the medical profession must be very knowledgeable, self-confident and skillful. When visiting a patient, it takes insight and understanding to identify the disease and take the necessary action. That is why every young person, who has chosen the profession of physician, should not be tired of constant searching, studying and gaining experience.
An intellectual competition titled “Contest of wiseacres” was held at the initiative of the Department of Pathological Physiology of Andijan State Medical Institute, to strengthen students’ knowledge and skills in the medical field.
Two teams consisting of the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Therapy and Pediatrics prepared for the contest of wiseacres under the guidance of the assistant of the Department of Pathological Physiology Ozadakhon Jalolova.
The contest tasks included the introduction part, theoretical questions and answers, team questions, test questions and finding a solution to the situational problem.
In the introduction task, teams introduced themselves on the basis of video footage effectively using information technology.
In the task “Questions and Answers”, the jury, headed by the Head of the Department of Pathological Physiology, Doctor of Medicine Sh.Kh.Khamrokulov tested the students on their knowledge of pathological physiology.
The jury were pleased with the results of the test questions. The 5th task, that is, the actions of students in unexpected cases, was carefully observed by both the judges and the audience.
According to the final results, the team of the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Therapy won the competition “Contest of wiseacres”, organized by the Department of Pathological Physiology.
However, the participants expressed their gratitude to the teachers who organized the contest, saying: “We are happy to improve our knowledge of medicine, the main thing is this, but not who wins”.
We, along with the audience, were pleased with many students of Andijan State Medical Institute who love their chosen profession and wished them further success.
