The round table discussion with the participation of students of Andijan State Medical Institute under the leadership of the Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs of the Faculty of Dentistry N.Musaev, was chaired by the Acting Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs of the Institute A.Abdukhalimov, who opened the meeting and gave an overview of the concepts of “extremism”, “terrorism”, the real goals of groups that promote sabotage and cruelty.
Representative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, imam of the Shahidtepa mosque in Andijan Kobiljon Isakov, who was invited to the roundtable meeting, emphasized the need to value peace and tranquility, to propagate Islam in its purest form, to expose the adherents of the ideas of corruption and cruelty, and to fight against them with spirituality and enlightenment.
He spoke about the need to fight, the fact that in the history of Islam, Muslims have very good neighborly relations with other religions, socio-economic relations, the essence of religious extremism.
During the cordial conversation, the students approached the imam-khatib with questions that interested them and received enough answers.
