STUDENT FESTIVAL IN ANDIJAN STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE: NATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITIONS, CONTESTS, SONGS, AWARDS

Navruz is a period of renewal and rejuvenation, one of the national holidays of the Uzbek people. Today, on March 17, a student festival has been held under the slogan “Let Navruz be every dayin my dear Uzbekistan!” in Andijan State Medical Institute in order to celebrate the national holiday of March 21 – Navruz in a high spirit and at a high level.

In the students’ hostel of the institute our talented students welcomed the guests of the holiday with the participation of professors, workers and students with the dance “Andijan Polka”. The dance was performed by our artistic students.

Rector of the institute M. Madazimov opened the festival with an introduction, congratulated the people with the coming Navroz and declared the festival open.

After that, the artistic part of the holiday began, poems and songs prepared by teachers and students were performed. Dances performed by talented students gave the ceremony a special charm. There was an exhibition of pictures of talented students with their other achievements. A handicraft fair was organized. Foreign students presented their national costumes along with Uzbek national costumes in the artistic part of the show.

As part of the festival, “Welcome, Navruz!” the following nominatrions were declared: drawings on the theme “Crafts girls” (baking and cooking) competition between the groups of the student residence, cooking palov competition between faculties, sports competitions in table tennis, chess and checkers have been held.

Also, for the Rector’s Cup, “Mini Football” as well as “Volleyball” competitions were organized between male and female students. Among our national games, among boys: “Arqon tortish”, ” Tosh ko‘tarish”, “Doiradan chiqar “,“Kuch sinashish”, and among girls “ Qiyiq tortish”, “ Arqonda saklash”, “Jamila, “To‘p tosh”, with the participation of teams “Oq terakmi? – Ko‘k terak?”, “Lanka tepish” popular national games have been demonstrated.

At the end of the holiday ceremony winners of team games and individual competitions as well as active participants were awarded by the administration of our institute and received diplomas and souvenirs from the rector of ASMI. The festival was held in a cheerful spirit, reflecting our traditions and nationality.
