In order to ensure the implementation of the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 16, 2021 in the Scientific ConferenceHall of ASMI there was held a meeting under the motto “There is no salvation but science” with participation of the hero of Uzbekistan Rahmon Muhamadiev, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, International member of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists, full member of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation G. Khojimatov introduced the professor to the students. Xenotransplant by Muhamadiev Rakhman Omanovich was presented at the World’s Fair in Hannover, Germany in 2004 for its excellent treatment of more than 12 eye diseases. It was included in the World Encyclopedia“Who’s Who”published in the United States in 2005. In 2006, he was nominated for the best doctor in the world at the Cambridge Research Center in the United Kingdom and was awarded a gold medal. In 1999 and 2004 he was elected a deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2016, he received the title of professor. He has published about 300 scientific articles. He is the author of 23 inventions (20 of which are registered in Russia), 9 textbooks, 3 monographs and 2 textbooks on ophthalmology. In 2020, for the first time in the last 100 years, he published a textbook in Russian for students of higher education institutions, and in the last 24 years, a textbook on ophthalmology in the Uzbek Latin alphabet.
Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs M. Botirov and Master-student of Ophthalmology Department Sh. Nizamova also noted that the research and textbooks of the scientist area real program for our students to get a thorough knowledge.
After that, the hero of Uzbekistan Rahmon Muhamadiev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, International Member of the US Academy of Ophthalmologists, full member of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences, made a report about his research and scientific works in the field. He advised students not to give up and keep doing their research if they want to become experts in their chosen field. The most active students were presented with books by the scientist.
