Peace and blessings be upon you, esteemed teachers, honorable mentors and respected educators of our Institute!
When the words “teacher” and “mentor” are spoken, our thoughts inevitably turn to the timeless lines of the great Alisher Navoi, whose verse stands as one of the highest tributes to those noble individuals:
If one has taught you a single letter in the path of Truth,
You can never repay their due, even with a hundred treasures.”
Indeed, our great forefathers held the status of teachers in the highest regard, celebrating and honoring them as role models for generations to come. The recognition of October 1st as the national holiday, Teachers and Mentors Day, is a vivid testament to this enduring respect and appreciation.
Those who work selflessly in this honorable profession – teachers, educators, mentors – are the true architects of our nation’s future. It would be no exaggeration to say that the dedicated staff of our Institute are specialists fully equipped to meet the demands of the modern era.
In today’s era of globalization, the progress of any nation begins with the advancement of its education system. Thanks to the wise and forward-thinking policies of our Head of State and government, profound reforms are being implemented in the field of education, we are already witnessing the tangible results of these efforts.
The future lies in the hands of the very generations being nurtured by today’s teachers. Therefore, the responsibility we shoulder is immense. Our highest mission and sacred duty to society is to cultivate highly qualified, knowledgeable and morally upright professionals for the prosperity and strength of our homeland.
At this juncture, I wish to recall the heartfelt lines of the National Hero of Uzbekistan, poet Abdulla Oripov:
“They said to the poet:
You are a fortunate soul,
Your people cherish you,
You are known by all.
The poet replied:
But I carry one regret —
If only they called me a teacher…”
May your holiday be blessed, dear teachers!
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you.
May you always be in good health and high spirits!
