According to the protocol of the republican special commission for the preparation of a program of measures for the coronavirus (September 13, 2020) and its prevention of the spread, it was provided for the issuance of hydroxychloroquine and zinc preparations to teachers free of charge.
A joint decree of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed on this assignment. “Work has begun on the delivery of medicines by Ministry of Health,” L. Rustamova said.
As you know that the WHO announced the ineffectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of coronavirus. The chief infectious disease specialist of the United States also noted that the effectiveness of the drug was not proven.
However, according to Khabibullo Okilov, a representative of the MZRU, based on the experience of Uzbekistan, Plaquenil is giving good results.
He said that WHO gives recommendations, not tasks. Each state decides to accept his recommendations. Uzbekistan has its own experience in the fight against coronavirus. Therefore, we can not follow the experience of other states, says H. Okilov.
Laziz Tuychiev, a member of the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, noted that Plaquenil is supplied to Uzbekistan as humanitarian aid from foreign countries.
