In the work of the Scientific Council, held on the basis of quarantine requirements, the tasks arising from the issues raised at the May 5 video conference of the President on measures to further alleviate the quarantine conditions and restore economic activity were considered.
Rector of the Institute, Professor M. M. Madazimov, analyzing the work done at the Institute during the coronavirus pandemic, spoke about the need to fully comply with sanitary and hygienic requirements in the organization of the educational process and staff activities in quarantine conditions. He stressed the need for each employee to pay serious attention to their own health, as well as the health of their colleagues.
After that, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A.Sh. Arzikulov reported on the work carried out at the Institute on the basis of the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 10, 2020 No. 257 “On the effective continuation of the educational process in higher education through distance learning and the completion of the 2019/2020 academic year.”
The rector of the institute expressed his views on the organization of the process of distance learning in the departments and ensuring the effectiveness of distance learning, the role of heads of departments in the implementation of educational, methodological and scientific research, spiritual and educational work.
The Council also discussed the activities of about 60 scientific clubs at the institute, the work being done to prepare students for national and international science Olympiads, scientific conferences, competitions for state scholarships, improving the activities of the Student Scientific Society and other issues.
