During the second phase of the “Ten days of Andijan youth” project, our medical students are in close communication with the population and really cure their illness.
Avazbek Akbarov, a student from Andijan State Medical Institute, conducted a seminar on «Diabetes is not a disease for patients» with diabetes in Ulugnor district.
It was attended by about 200 diabetes patients, district doctors and patronage nurses.
The seminar included presentations and lively discussions on how to teach patients how to live with diabetes and how to prevent complications.
The population is very pleased with the reception of student-head physicians at the meetings of citizens. During the open dialogue young people demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
