The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-33 “On additional organizational and legal measures to strengthen the protection of the rights of women and children and prevent cases of oppression and violence against them” dated onMarch 3, 2026 was an important step in ensuring human rights in our country, especially comprehensive support for women and children.
In order to convey the essence of this decree to the general public, regional advocacy groups have been formed and systematic advocacy work is being carried out in the field. One of such events was organized at Andijan State Medical Institute.
Responsible leaders and specialists at the republican level participated in the round table discussion held at the Institute and provided detailed information about the main directions of the decree, its practical significance and role in society.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment, group leader R. Turdiboyeva, Deputy Head of the Crime Prevention Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs N. Giyasova, Deputy Governor of the Region, Head of the Family and Women Department N. Yunusova.
The event was opened by G. Kholmatova, advisor to the rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute on Women's Issues, who spoke about the importance of this decree and the work being carried out to ensure its implementation at the Institute level.
