Rector of Andijan State Medical Institute Madamin Madazimov held a meeting with 5th-year students undergoing internship in medical institutions of Andijan.
The meeting was held in a spirit of sincere dialogue. Special attention was paid to the issues of professional training of future doctors, strengthening their theoretical knowledge with practice, regular study of modern achievements in the field of medicine and becoming qualified specialists.
In his speech the rector noted that today the medical field is developing rapidly, therefore, every student should strive to study modern diagnostic and treatment methods, regularly monitor scientific innovations. It was also noted that the medical profession requires high responsibility, treating patients with kindness and attention and strictly adhering to the rules of medical ethics and deontology prove to be among the most important qualities of every future doctor.
During the meeting students were given recommendations on acquiring effective knowledge and skills from experienced teachers-doctors, making the most of every day of practice, correctly applying theoretical knowledge in practice, reading scientific literature and thoroughly studying foreign languages, in particular English, which is widely used in medicine.
It was also emphasized that meaningful organization of free time for young people, development of a reading culture, adherence to a healthy lifestyle and regular work on themselves are known to be important factors in the formation of mature and competitive specialists in the future.
During the conversation, students asked questions of interest to them and expressed their opinions on the practice processes, professional development and future activities. The rector provided detailed answers to their questions and made necessary recommendations.
At the end of the meeting they were closely acquainted with the practice processes organized in medical institutions in Andijan. Students were observed working with patients, acquiring clinical skills, maintaining medical records and participating in treatment processes. Views were exchanged with those responsible for the conditions created in the practice bases, the quality of the educational process, and the methodological assistance provided to students by the teaching doctors.
This meeting served to strengthen further the professional knowledge and skills of future doctors, train them in accordance with the requirements of modern medicine and increase the effectiveness of practical training.
