Today, an important and joyful event took place in the life of Andijan State Medical Institute — the ceremonial opening of the modern "Scientific Research Laboratory Center and Vivarium," established under the institute.

The commissioning of this center is one of the significant steps towards the development of medical education, science, and applied research at the institute, as well as expanding the capabilities of modern laboratory diagnostics.

At the event, a congratulatory speech by the rector M. Madazimov was read out by K. Salokhiddinov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovation.
Furthermore, during the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by Tolkun Siddiq, member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan; N. Kodirov, head of the "Scientific Research Laboratory Center and Vivarium"; and A. Abdullayev, scientific consultant on molecular genetics, who shared their views on the importance of the new center for the development of science and medicine.

18 billion soums were spent to construct the center, while 1.7 billion soums were allocated to equip it with modern laboratory instruments.

The four-story modern building houses not only laboratory rooms but also a vivarium section. The center provides all necessary conditions for conducting hematological, biochemical, immunological, genetic, toxicopharmacological, and morphological research.

Here, modern hematological and biochemical analyzers, coagulation systems, immunological testing equipment, real-time PCR systems, centrifuges, and specialized laboratory equipment for storing biological materials have been installed.

One of the main tasks of the center is not only to conduct laboratory analyses but also to create a modern scientific base for research, innovative projects, experimental work, and training young scientists.

Here, PhD candidates, doctoral students, undergraduate students, and faculty members will have extensive opportunities to conduct modern medical-biological research, perform microscopic and morphological examinations, and carry out experiments and scientific studies using laboratory animals. In the future, it is planned to further increase the speed, accuracy, and quality of research through digitalization of laboratory processes, implementation of LIS/LIMS systems, increased automation, and utilization of artificial intelligence capabilities.

Participants noted that the new "Scientific Research Laboratory Center and Vivarium" will significantly enhance the scientific potential of Andijan State Medical Institute and will serve the development of medical science and practice throughout the Fergana Valley, turning into one of its major scientific hubs.
