As part of the "September — Anti-Drug Addiction" campaign, a roundtable discussion was organized at Andijan State Medical Institute aimed at broadly explaining the negative effects of psychoactive substances on students' physical bodies and mental well-being.
The event was attended by M. Madazimov, Rector of Andijan State Medical Institute; G. Kholmatova, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work; A. Speakers expressed their views on the topic, emphasizing the importance of fostering a healthy lifestyle among young people, cultivating an intolerant attitude towards harmful habits, and being aware of the dangerous consequences of psychoactive substances.
It was also noted that medical literacy, proper upbringing, a healthy social environment, and meaningful organization of young people's leisure time are crucial factors in preventing drug addiction and dependence on psychoactive substances.
During the event, students asked questions of interest to them and received necessary information and recommendations from specialists on the subject.
