During the visit of our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Andijan region on April 15-16, 2025, it was emphasized that all the opportunities exist in the region to develop the medical sector, establish a modern medical education system and create the “Andijan Medical Brand”. The head of our state highly appreciated the activities of Andijan State Medical Institute in this area, noting the important role of the Institute in training qualified medical personnel not only for the region, but also for the entire valley.

Also, taking into account the fact that today about 2 thousand young people from Namangan are studying in Andijan, an initiative was put forward to establish a branch of Andijan State Medical Institute in Namangan. The President expressed important ideas on raising this branch to the level of an independent higher educational institution in the future and granting the Andijan State Medical Institute the status of a university. This will help bring the quality of medical education to a new level, increase scientific potential and develop modern medical services in the regions.

In order to ensure the implementation of these tasks, large-scale preparatory work is currently being carried out on the establishment of the Namangan branch of the Institute. In particular, the building allocated for the branch has been completely renovated and is being equipped in accordance with modern requirements. Systematic work continues to create classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls and the necessary conditions for students.

Today, the rector of Andijan State Medical Institute Madamin Madazimov got acquainted with the processes underway at the Namangan branch. During the visit the state of preparation for the new academic year, the technical and sanitary condition of the building and the amenities created for professors, teachers, students and staff were studied in detail. The landscaping and landscaping work carried out in the area was also reviewed.

The rector gave clear instructions and recommendations to those responsible for establishing the branch at a high level, ensuring the quality of education and creating a modern infrastructure. As noted, the establishment of this branch will not only create broad opportunities for the youth of the Namangan region, but will also make a significant contribution to the development of the medical sector in the valley.
