Undoubtedly, globalization and international relations in the scientific, technical and cultural spheres have an impact on all aspects of human activity, including the field of medicine. Mastering foreign languages by doctors, dentists and pharmacists is essential for the development of the country. Strengthening the knowledge and skills of specialists in foreign languages in the field of higher education is provided in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On Education», «On the National Training Program», the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On Measures to Further Improve the System of Teaching a Foreign Language» issued on December 10, 2012 No.PP-1875.
In the Decree of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 20, 2017 “On measures for the further development of the higher education system”, the most important tasks for the further development of the education system are noted, and there are points on establishing close links with leading scientific and educational institutions of the world to improve the quality of education, attract highly qualified specialists from foreign and national partner educational institutions to the educational process.
In order to ensure the implementation of this Decree, the Department of “Languages, Pedagogy and Psychology” of Andijan State Medical Institute introduced for the first time a distance learning system and held a practical lesson in English by on-line with the “Languages” department of Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. On-line training was held between 2nd –year students of the faculty «Pharmacy». On-line training was conducted by Hilola Maksudova, teacher of English at Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and N. A. Mamatova, senior teacher of English at the Department of Languages, Pedagogy and Psychology of Andijan State Medical Institute on the topic “Classification of Plants”. The event was attended by the head of the Department of Languages, Pedagogy and Psychology, docent L.S. Khudayberdieva, docent of the Pharmacy direction Z.A. Ergasheva, head of the Educational department, docent G.U.Nazarova.
