About the University Report

Andijan State Medical Institute is committed to advancing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through integrated efforts in education, research, healthcare, and community engagement. The Institute actively contributes to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on public health improvement, environmental responsibility, social equity, and sustainable economic development.

Sustainability at Andijan State Medical Institute is embedded across academic curricula, clinical practice, research priorities, and campus operations. The Institute collaborates closely with government bodies, healthcare institutions, industry partners, and non-governmental organizations to promote sustainable healthcare systems, environmental awareness, and inclusive access to medical education.

Through innovation, ethical governance, and regional partnerships, Andijan State Medical Institute empowers future healthcare professionals to address global and regional challenges, contributing to a healthier, more resilient, and sustainable Central Asia.

 

What is SDG?  

In 2015, all United Nations Member States adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a global blueprint for achieving a more inclusive and sustainable future. These goals address critical challenges facing humanity, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice.

Andijan State Medical Institute actively advances the UN SDGs through innovative and collaborative initiatives in medical education, scientific research, healthcare delivery, and community service. The Institute’s students, faculty, and staff contribute to progress across all 17 SDGs through academic activities, public health programs, and institutional partnerships, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development at both national and international levels.

Guided by the vision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Uzbekistan’s commitment to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Andijan State Medical Institute actively contributes to achieving all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In alignment with SDG 4 (A), the Institute continuously improves conditions to ensure safe, inclusive, and effective learning environments. Modern educational facilities, digital resources, and research-oriented spaces support innovation, academic excellence, and student well-being.

Andijan State Medical Institute supports national development through medical education, scientific research, clinical training, and community health initiatives, contributing directly to Quality Education (SDG 4), Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8).

The Institute also promotes Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities (SDGs 5 and 10) through inclusive admission policies, equal academic opportunities, and social outreach programs. International cooperation, academic partnerships, and joint research projects strengthen Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
