The 10th Uzbekistan Neurologists Forum was held at Andijan State Medical Institute, organized in collaboration with the Public Association of Neurologists of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Medical University, and the institute itself. The forum, dedicated to the theme “Modern Issues in Diagnosis, Pathogenesis, and Treatment of Neurological Diseases”, was conducted at a high level and served as an important platform bringing together neurology specialists not only from Uzbekistan but also from abroad.
Leading scientists, professors, researchers, and practicing physicians from the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan participated in the forum, exchanging views on pressing issues, innovative approaches, and advanced experiences in the field of neurology.
The event was opened by Yo. Majidova, Chief Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Mamajonov, Head of the Andijan Regional Health Department, and K. Salakhiddinov, Prorector for Research and Innovations at Andijan State Medical Institute. They highlighted the significance of the forum and its role in the development of science and practical medicine.
During the forum, a series of important presentations were delivered on the diagnosis of neurological diseases, their pathogenesis, and modern treatment methods. Topics included:
– Vertebrogenic cervicocranialgia: radiculopathies and vertebro-basilar cerebrovascular insufficiency
– Multiple sclerosis: epidemiology and therapy optimization issues
– Temporal epilepsy
– Stroke treatment and early rehabilitation
– The role of physiotherapeutic technologies in rehabilitation
– Complex hearing and speech restoration system for children with hearing impairments
– Pain syndromes in neurological practice
– Late stages of Parkinson’s disease: clinical features and new treatment options
Participants paid special attention to early detection of neurological diseases, individualized treatment approaches, improvement of rehabilitation processes, and the implementation of modern technologies and innovative methods into practice. New approaches, medications, and rehabilitation methods for treating stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis were widely discussed.
In the afternoon, a Young Scientists Conference was held as part of the forum. Talented students, master students, and young researchers presented their scientific works on the diagnosis, pathogenesis, and treatment of neurological diseases. This provided an opportunity to increase young people’s interest in science, involve them more deeply in research activities, and facilitate direct communication with experienced specialists.
