In honor of the 35th anniversary of Independence and within the framework of the "Topical 90 Days" project, a solemn opening ceremony was held for the "Rector's Cup" sports competitions. The event is organized for the unaffiliated youth residing in the ten mahallas surrounding Andijan State Medical Institute and its Student Dormitory.
On behalf of the Institute's rector, the participants were congratulated by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Moral Education, S. Salohiddinov.
The purpose of these sports competitions is to meaningfully organize young people's free time, engage them in a healthy lifestyle, further increase their interest in sports, and strengthen the atmosphere of friendship and unity among the youth of the mahallas.
The competitions will be held in three disciplines: table tennis, mini-football, and chess/checkers. Hundreds of young people will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents. The contests will be held in stages throughout the summer, with the strongest participants in each sport being determined.
The "Rector's Cup" competitions are significant as they serve to foster a healthy competitive environment among youth, develop their physical and intellectual potential, and instill a spirit of patriotism.
