Ensuring the implementation of the second direction of the 5 important initiatives put forward by the Presidents of our country, namely, improving physical training of young people, creating the necessary conditions for them to show their abilities in sports, physical culture and sports for women in neighborhoods, by the Women’s Council of Andijan State Medical Institute there was organized a competition for the Cup of the Rector of the Institute in the gym of the institute in volleyball among young girls in the makhallas around the public health college named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, attached to the Institute on the basis of the program “Physical fitness – healthy thinking – healthy future”.
At the opening ceremony of the competition, the chairman of the Women’s Council of the Institute G. Kholmatova spoke about the attention paid to the development of physical culture and sports in our country, in particular, women’s sports.
In the competition, the youth of the mahallas of Andijan city, Pakhtaabad, Bostan, Kurgantepa districts and the non-organized youth of the mahallas attached to the ASMI competed. In the uncompromising contest, Pakhtaabad youth took the first place, Andijan youth took the second place, and girls from Bostan took the third place.
During the competitions, music bouquets presented by activists of the primary organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan of the institute kept up the spirit of the girls.
The winners and participants were awarded with diplomas of the rector of the institute, souvenirs, fiction. The awarding ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Enlightenment M. Botirov.
