A propaganda event on the theme “AIDS-the plague of the XXI century” was held at the presidential school of Andijan in connection with the “World AIDS Day” on December 1.
The event was organized by the women’s Advisory Council of the Andijan State Medical Institute, the primary organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the club “Qizlarjon” and the team “young volunteers(Yosh volontyorlar)”.
The event was organized by the advisor to the Rector on Women’s Issues of the Institute, the chairman of the Women’s Advisory Council G. Kholmatova revealed and informed readers about AIDS, its causes, prevention measures.
Then a team of young volunteers presented a presentation on the ways of transmission of the disease, ways of providing first aid to the patient. Also during the event, entertainment programs were presented and Uzbek folk lapars were performed.
And gifted students sang songs and invited everyone to dance. At the end of the event, the students who took an active part were duly awarded by the institute.
In turn, the administration of the presidential school presented a letter of thanks to the Andijan State Medical Institute.
