Today, an event dedicated to the 540th anniversary of the birth of our great ancestor Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, who made a worthy contribution to the development of world science and culture, was held in Babur Square in Andijan.
Initially, representatives of the regional, district and city governments, enterprises and organizations, as well as scholars from India, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and America, representatives of the general public and students came to the statue of our great ancestor and as a sign of respect for our ancestor they placed bouquets of flowers at the base of his statue.
Those who spoke at the event mentioned about Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s literary-scientific legacy left to future generations, his works, his wisdom in state affairs, historical-memoir work “Boburnoma”, which is a unique example of artistic prose. They especially acknowledged that it is located in the museums of more than 70 countries of the world and has been translated into more than 30 languages.
Professors and students of Andijan State Medical Institute also actively participated in this event. Especially, international students skillfully performed ghazals and rubais written by Z.M. Babur left a great impression on the audience.
