A literary and cultural event dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the birth of the beloved creator of our people, the people’s poet of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf called “Yurtim, seni iddaolar qilmay sevaman” was held in the square “Muhammad Yusuf” in Andijan.
Poets and writers, lovers of literature, teachers, pupils and students of general education schools, higher educational institutions, representatives of the general public, creative youth took part in the event, organized jointly with the regional administration and the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the event, the participants laid wreaths at the foot of the bust of Muhammad Yusuf and expressed high respect to the late poet.
After that, the speakers noted that the life and work of the poet, especially his description of the Motherland with special allusions, his unique lines glorifying human qualities, have taken a firm place in the hearts of our people.
In the artistic part of the event, young lovers who fell in love with the poet’s work read samples of Muhammad Yusuf’s poems. The singers sang songs based on the poet’s verses. Similar literary events dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the birth of Muhammad Yusuf will continue until the evening in trade unions, educational institutions, in particular, in the Kovunchi microdistrict of the Markhamat region, where the poet was born and grew up.
