Today, on November 9, “Diwali & Freshers” festival was held by Indian students in Andijan State Medical Institute. Rector of the institute M. Madazimov opened the festival with an introduction and welcomed warmly Indian students, saying that today’s holiday is celebrated not only as their national holiday, but also as a holiday of friendship and solidarity among the students.
A. Nurmatov, the head of Andijan regional branch of the Republican Spirituality and Enlightenment Center and B. Rasulov, the rector of Andijan State Pedagogical Institute made a speech and congratulated the participants of the festival and students from India.
National tunes and songs were performed live by foreign students at the festival. Horn dances gave everyone a good mood. During the program artistic performances were presented by Uzbek and Pakistani students as a holiday gift.
At the end of the solemn ceremony the fireworks were pushed out, lighting up the night sky.
