Today, on February 29, tutors and active students of the Faculty of General Medicine held an event called “National dress is image of the nation” in order to promote nationalism and national costumes.
Speaking at the beginning of the event, S. Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational affairs, and G. Kholmatova, the advisor to the rector on women’s affairs, spoke about the beauty, charm, and colors of the national costumes. She emphasized that Atlas, Adras and Bekasam fabrics reflect our history.
In fact, national costumes are image of the nation, the expression of national pride. Atlas, adras and silk dresses are reflection of our age-old traditions, values and customs.
Also, during the event, artistic performances were presented by talented students, poems, songs and dances were performed. The unique dances of each region were skillfully performed by the students.
