The number of foreign students at Andijan State Medical Institute is steadily increasing. Effective measures are being taken to create favorable conditions for their quality education and comfortable living.
On November 6, 2024, three representatives from the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan visited Andijan State Medical Institute. The guests were warmly welcomed.
Following the reception, the Institute’s Rector, M. Madazimov, and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, F. Rasulov, held a meeting with Indian Ambassador Ms. Smita Pant and two consuls from the Indian Embassy.
The purpose of the visit was for the embassy representatives to become familiar with the Institute, meet with the first-year Indian students, provide them with detailed information about the internal regulations of Uzbekistan and Andijan State Medical Institute as well as the dress code and gather their suggestions and feedback.
During the meeting the rector provided information about the opportunities available to foreign students, the educational process, living conditions in the student dormitories, the events and competitions organized to develop their talents and the students’ participation and achievements. The embassy representatives also shared their suggestions.
Additionally, the embassy representatives met with the first-year Indian students. They provided information about the Institute’s internal rules, the importance of regular and active participation in classes, organizing meaningful leisure time after lessons and engaging in sports, science, and crafts clubs as well as effectively utilizing the information-resource center. Afterward, the students were given an opportunity to express their opinions and feedback.
For reference, 171 Indian students were admitted to the first course in the 2024-2025 academic year.
