Lectures and seminars on the topic “Issues of Rehabilitation in the Practice of Neurology” were organized based on modern international experience in the educational process as part of the development of international cooperation between Andizhan State Medical Institute and Ivanovo State Medical University of the Russian Federation.
Rector of Ivanovo State Medical University, doctor of medical sciences, professor Elena Nikolaevna Ivanova participated in these scientific and practical events. She is known as one of the leading specialists in the field of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Child Neurology. Also, Igor Vasilyevich Reverchuk, doctor of medical and pedagogical sciences, professor, director of the Bio-Institute for Somatopsychic Health Protection, member of the Presidium of the National Association of Experts on Comorbid Neurology, President of EANNNA actively participated in the visit.
In addition, employment contracts were signed with Maria Vladimirovna Zhabburina, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor and vice-rector for Scientific and International Activities of Ivanovo State Medical University and Anton Sergeevich, doctor of medical sciences, Deputy Director for Oncology of the National Medical Research Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia. The main goal of this cooperation was not only organizing the seminars (webinars) and practical training for listeners, clinical residents, masters and teachers, but also establishing cooperation in scientific research.
As part of the event, a number of lectures, seminars, master classes and practical training were held for teachers, cadets, clinical residents, masters and students of the departments of Neonatology, Neurology, Children Neurology, Psychiatry, Narcology, Psychology and Medical Psychotherapy of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining of Doctors.
In particular, during “Post-stroke Conditions and Technologies for Improving Rehabilitation Efficiency” training, neurological and functional disorders were observed in post-stroke patients; methods for their early detection and gradual recovery were explained in detail. Modern rehabilitation approaches, in particular, individual approach, treatment with the participation of a multidisciplinary team and improving the quality of life of patients through the use of innovative technologies were widely covered.
Also, important lectures were delivered on the topic of “Managing a “Difficult Patient” in Neurological Admission: Diagnostics, Management and Therapy”. It analyzed complex cases encountered in clinical practice and gave practical recommendations on establishing effective communication with such patients, making the correct diagnosis, conducting differential diagnostics and creating an individual treatment plan. Special attention was paid to the issues of psychological approach and building trust when working with patients.
In addition, within the framework of the topic "Family-Centered Approach to Restoring Hearing and Speech in Children", the importance of early intervention, methods of actively involving parents in the rehabilitation process and properly guiding them were widely discussed. Detailed information was provided on the important role of the family in the development of the child, possibilities of continuing speech therapy and audiology care at home and the effectiveness of working on the basis of individual programs.
