These days, in all regions of our country, we are widely celebrating May 9 – the Day of Remembrance and Honor, the Day of the Great Victory in World War II.

The Day of Remembrance and Honor is celebrated as a truly national holiday. This holiday commemorates those who died in World War II in the name of freedom. People who have worked effectively and selflessly for the peace and development of the country are also remembered.
Andijan State Medical Institute is 67 years old. Over the years, highly qualified teachers, professors and educators have been teaching students. Among them, the role of rectors of our institute, such as Usmon Alimov, Yusuf Otabekov, Rahim Nurmuhammedov, Satkul Jumaboev, Mamazoir Khojamberdiev, Alisher Shodmonov, is invaluable in the current status and prestige of our university. In addition to their leadership, they have gained a reputation as qualified physicians. In addition, thousands of our professors and teachers, who have provided quality education to students, have made a significant contribution to the field of medicine with their scientific work and research. Their exemplary lives are example for us. We will always remember their memories. That is why we regularly hold commemorative events with the participation of family members, students, friends and colleagues of our teachers. At the same time, we visit the graves of those teachers who passed away and pray for their souls.
In addition, after many years of fruitful work, it has become a tradition to visit our honored teachers, who are now on the verge of old age. Their teachings and advice will lead us to more perfection. Every time we visit them, we get some new knowledge. And their prayers always support us. At the awards ceremony, our teachers share with students their exemplary ways of life. This motivates our young people to work on themselves and do more research.
No matter what veteran you talk to, you will feel a sense of gratitude. They note that they didn’t have such opportunities, our young people are happy and fortunate. And their prayers only lead us to goodness and action.
My dear children! In the future, I want you to become masters of medicine in the same way as our teachers, who have such respect and dignity. Appreciate the teachers you are currently learning from, follow their example, and learn what you don’t know. Because every piece of their advice and knowledge is worth its weight in gold.
