Dear teachers and mentors! Esteemed veterans!
As long as a person lives, they seek knowledge. In particular, the development of society and the state, the strength of the country, and the greatness of the nation all stem from knowledge. In this, the role of teachers and mentors is immensely significant.
Throughout all times, devoted educators like you have been honored. In building a new Uzbekistan, you will be the main support and foundation.
As our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has stated, the prestige of a teacher is primarily the prestige of the nation and the entire people.
In Article 52 of our renewed Constitution, it is defined that “the labor of a teacher is the basis for the development of society and the state, for shaping and educating a healthy, well-rounded generation, and for preserving and enriching the spiritual and cultural potential of the people.”
Today, Andijan State Medical Institute holds its place and reputation among higher education institutions. This has not happened by itself. It is the result of your tireless work and the selfless knowledge you share with students.
Currently, our institute has 934 professors and teachers actively working, among whom 58 are Doctors of Science, and 237 are Candidates of Science. Each of these individuals represents a great source of knowledge. If we evaluate our results for 2024, they are certainly substantial: 5 doctoral dissertations, 31 PhD defenses, and over 243 textbooks and educational manuals published by our professors and teachers. This serves as an inexhaustible treasure for our students to acquire knowledge effectively and enthusiastically.
The commissioning of the new educational building of Andijan State Medical Institute is a day worthy of being marked in history. According to the decree No. PQ-5154 dated June 21, 2021, by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the construction of “New Andijan” and further support for entrepreneurship in Andijan region, this building has been constructed on a 2-hectare land within the clinic’s territory and is designed for 2000 students. The building consists of 7 floors, with 28 rooms on each floor. All classrooms are equipped with interactive boards and modern teaching tools.
There are a total of 12 lecture halls in the building. On the second floor, there is a simulation center that meets world standards with extensive capabilities. The third floor is designated for dentistry programs and is equipped with the latest dental instruments and technologies.
The building mainly accommodates clinical departments. A telemedicine system has been established between the institute’s clinic and this educational building. Operations performed in the surgical departments of the clinic are broadcast live to classrooms. Students can ask questions to doctors during this process and receive answers in real-time. The fifth floor houses a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 420 seats. The wardrobe and a 400-seat cafeteria have been prepared to create convenience for professors, teachers, and students. Such opportunities undoubtedly serve to facilitate students’ learning and your dedicated work as educators.
Today’s celebration is doubly joyful for our team. This is because four of our professors have been awarded the “Excellence in Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan” badge by the Ministry of Health, four received certificates of appreciation, seven were honored with the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, one received a ministerial honorary certificate, and 40 professors were recognized with letters of appreciation from the regional khokim. I sincerely congratulate all our teachers on these achievements.
In a modern educational institution, the ability of teachers to provide knowledge in line with the times is undoubtedly of great importance. This year alone, 34 of our professors and teachers have participated in international conferences, collaboration issues, olympiads, congresses, and scientific-practical events at foreign higher education institutions and medical centers. In particular, partnerships have been established with medical higher education institutions and several clinics in countries such as Russia, the USA, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Additionally, 18 of our institute’s professors and teachers have improved their qualifications abroad, specifically in the USA, Russia, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, China, and South Korea. This is one of our significant efforts to provide education to youth in accordance with global standards and to address the ailments of patients.
Dear esteemed mentors, I always speak of you with respect; every challenging step you have taken serves as a model for us. You laid the foundation of this higher institution, and your immense contribution to educating youth while providing healing to patients is invaluable. Each of your books leads us toward new heights. For this reason, we continually strive to reach you. We love you dearly!
Dear teachers,
I sincerely congratulate you on this significant day for your invaluable contributions to nurturing modern, broad-minded talented individuals. I wish you all good health and success in your responsible and honorable activities. May your hard work be filled with joy and achievements, and may your students always bring you happiness with their successes as they conquer the highest peaks of science!
