On March 29-30, 2023 preliminary meeting of the participants of the international project “I2-PLEDGE: Innovative and interdisciplinary programs in biomedical engineering for the employment of students” direction in the frame of activity of Erasmus+ “Capacity building in higher education-SBHE” in Uzbekistan Tashkent State Technical University named after slam Karimov has been organized. The meeting was attended by Charlotte Adrian, the Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan, Aziza Abdurahmanova, coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office, officials of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, representatives of 2 European universities, 1 training center and 7 higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Partner educational institutions in the field of the project: Laquila University (Italy), University of Western Macedonia (Greece), Epimorfotiki Kilkis International Training Center (Greece), Turin Polytechnic University of Tashkent, Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent State Technical University, Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute, Andijan State Medical Institute, Urganch branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Urganch branch of Tashkent Medical Academy.
The project coordinator provided all important information on project management, recommendations for successful project implementation and the latest news from EASEA representatives. During the meetings, financial issues, the role of each higher education institution in the project, work packages, the plan of future activities, and the importance of achieving results were also mentioned during the discussions. K. Salohiddinov, vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of Andijan State Medical Institute and a group of representatives of our institute also made a presentation about the institute and the contribution to the project.
