On April 5, the 2nd Republican Olympiad in the field of “Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy” called ” Anatomy Festival” with the participation of international guests was held in Andijan State Medical Institute.
The participants of the Olympiad were welcomed in the institute with the melody of national songs and the “Andijan Polka” dance performed by our students.
The event was opened by the rector of our institute, M. Madazimov, who spoke about the problems in this field, mentioned the experts who contributed to its development and wished all students good luck in the Olympiad.
Representatives from B. Yelsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University located in Bishkek, Medical Faculty of Osh State University, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Fergana Community Medical Institute and the students from our Institute took part in the Olympiad organized by the initiative of Z. Kaharov, head of the Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy.
Totally 8 teams consisted of 5 members participated in the Olympiad. Professor S. Shatmanov from the Faculty of Sciences of Uzbekistan State University, associate professor K. Sakibayev, associate professor of Anatomy, A. Beysembayev, Topographic Anatomy and Operative Department, head of medical sciences and G. Primova, senior teacher from Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute participated as a jury.
The Olympiad consisted of 4 stages: testing the participants’ knowledge through a test, applying surgical sutures, working with liquid preparations and artistic performances.
As a result:
Team consisting of students of Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after “B. Yeltsin” won the 1st round;
team consisting of students of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute won the 2nd round;
team consisting of students of the Faculty of Medicine of Osh State University won the 3rd round;
teams made up of students of the Andijan State Medical Institute won the 4th round.
Our institute presented the Diplomas of the 1st degree, cups and souvenirs to all the participants.
Olympiad scientific conference of young scientists was held and 21 young scientists-participants were presented with Certificates and souvenirs. “Save and Preserve” team of our institute demonstrated their practical skills.
