Doctor of Chemistry Irodakhon Mamatova became the winner of the competition “Short-term scientific internship for young scientists in leading scientific organizations”, organized by the Innovation Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, under the leadership of Jean Sevigny, she is doing scientific research at the Department of Immunology and Microbiology of the Laval State University in Canada, one of the Top 300 universities in the world.
This research is aimed at studying the function of nucleotides, which focuses on the enzymes that control their concentration, in addition to studying immune cell migration, leukocyte function, smooth muscle contraction, and developing new treatments for inflammatory diseases.
A period of 3 years was given for the completion of this scientific research work, and now intensive work is being carried out on it.
