
Today, on May 30, at Andijan State Medical Institute, within the framework of the scientific and educational promotion events titled “Tamaddun, Culture, and Enlightenment,” the “Enlightenment Hours” took place as part of the “One Goal” project.
The event was attended by J. Melikuziev, a representative from the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; N. Kashkaboyeva, head of the Andijan regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment; M. Madazimov, rector of Andijan State Medical Institute; T. Muratova, head of the Monitoring Department of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment in Andijan region; G. Kosimova, head of the Kurgantepa branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment; Sh. Marufkhojayev, a regional promoter of spirituality; as well as deputy directors for spiritual and educational work from general education schools, officials responsible for spirituality in organizations and enterprises, and students.
Before the event, videos reflecting national values and traditions prepared within the framework of the “Enlightenment Hours” were shown.
After that, the speakers discussed the concept of spirituality, its role in human life, the roots of a nation formed over centuries, its historical experiences, and the difficulty of imagining spirituality without social and cultural development.
They emphasized that love for the homeland and patriotism are among the main factors defining human spirituality, noting that in societies where spirituality flourishes, individuals with talents and abilities become the face, pride, and reputation of that society and nation.
M. Madazimov, rector of Andijan State Medical Institute, spoke about important aspects of educating students as a spiritually enriched and enlightened generation and shared information about innovations being implemented to improve the institute’s material and technical base.
J. Melikuziev from the Committee on Religious Affairs presented a report on “The Importance of the Principle of ‘Secular Neutrality’ in Ensuring Citizens’ Freedom of Conscience and State Policy in Religious Affairs in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
At the end of the event, participants received detailed answers to their questions from the responsible officials.
