The invaluable creative and scientific legacy of the great poet, thinker, and prominent state and public figure Alisher Navoi has served as a spiritual and literary nourishment for generations over the centuries. His works hold significant importance not only for our people but also in the history of world literature.
Today, on February 8, a literary and artistic event titled “Navoi Ziyosi” was held at Andijan State Medical Institute in honor of the 584th anniversary of the birth of the Sultan of Speech, Mir Alisher Navoi.
At the beginning of the event, S. Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual-enlightenment work, acknowledged Alisher Navoi’s unparalleled contributions to human culture and literature through his masterpieces, rare collections, and unique ghazals and epics. He emphasized that the priceless examples of creativity, created with high skill and unique artistry, have maintained their essence and brilliance over the centuries, becoming a significant part of our vast spiritual heritage and literature.
Following this, teachers from the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature spoke about the rich creative legacy left by Mir Alisher Navoi for future generations and performed excerpts from his outstanding works. It was emphasized that it is necessary to deeply study Navoi’s epics, widely promote the universal ideas presented in them among young people, and instill a sense of love for the homeland through Navoi’s works.
In the artistic part of the event, students showcased excerpts from the poet’s creative legacy and presented stage performances. The songs and dances performed by talented students brought joy and uplifted the spirits of all attendees.
