The 686th anniversary of the great medieval statesman, great commander, founder of the centralized state, patron of science and culture, Amir Temur, is widely celebrated. In particular, Andijan State Medical Institute hosted an event on “Amir Temur – a symbol of our spiritual power”.
Acting Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Enlightenment S.Salohiddinov, senior teacher of the department of Social Sciences and Humanities N.Nurmatova, associate professor of the department M.Khojimuratova, deputy head of the regional department of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment N.Marahimova, senior lecturer of Andijan State University Yu. Jahongirov, members of the regional council of the Social Democratic Party “Adolat” participated in the event.
Speakers at the event spoke in detail about Amir Temur’s military campaigns, victories, the establishment of a strong centralized state in politics, and the importance of his book “Temur tuzuklari”today.
Talented students performed a play on the theme “Amir Temur and the scholar.” This was followed by an intellectual contest between teams “Turon” and “Yosh adolatchilar”. Questions about the life and work of the great commander were answered in detail. At the end of the contest the team “Turon” won.
There were also beautiful dances and songs during the event. The most active students received souvenirs from sponsors.
