A working group of 26 professors and teachers in 17 different specialties from Andijan State Medical Institute examined 689 people at the Village Medical Center in Khodjaabad district. 102 of them are included in the “Iron Book”, 115 – in the “Women’s Book”, and 12 – in the “Youth Book”. 154 citizens underwent USI examinations. Sixteen patients were referred to the regional treating facilities, one to the regional cardiology center, and three to the ASMI clinic.
In addition, 8 experienced endocrinologists from the institute conducted a latent carbohydrate test in 109 citizens of the district. Of these citizens, 76 had no pathologic changes, 30 were in pre-diabetic state and 3 had diabetes. They got the necessary advice and counseling.
Measures to improve the health of the population in Khodjaabad district are underway.
