Today, on January 10, a festive event has been held in Andijan State Medical Institute in collaboration with the department of Social Hygiene and Health Care Management of the Institute in connection with the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This day, January 14, is celebrated as Fatherland Defenders Day under the slogan “New Army of Uzbekistan — the support of the country, the pride of our people!”.
It was attended by S.Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Issues, Sh.Abdusamatov, the acting chairman of the Regional Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, G.Kholmatova, rector’s advisor for Women’s Affairs, O.Jurayev, a military serviceman of the mobilization reserve battalion of the military unit in Andijan region, a group of veterans, students and youth representatives.
At the beginning of the event the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was performed. After that the congratulatory message of the rector of the Institute M. Madazimov on the occasion of the holiday was delivered. Those who spoke at the ceremony recognized the courage and bravery in the hearts of every young man and woman who believed that the defense of the Motherland is a sacred duty. The participants of the event and, through them, all defenders of the Motherland were sincerely congratulated on the occasion of the holiday.
Also, a group of veterans and devotees of the field were awarded with certificates of gratitude and souvenirs in connection with the date during the event.
In the artistic part of the holiday, the singers of the Andijan region of the Uzbekistan Philharmonic performed heartwarming songs praising the Motherland.
