The opening ceremony of the XVI Summer Paralympic Games took place on 25 August 2021 at the National Stadium in Tokyo. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of 162 countries. In total, 559 prizes will be awarded in 22 sports. A total of 48 Uzbek athletes will take part in the competition. Fortunately, Muzaffar Tursunkhodjaev, a second-year student of the Faculty of Therapy of Andijan State Medical Institute, winner of the “Jasorat” Medal, a member of the national team in para-swimming, is also taking part in the Games. The institute staff wishes Muzaffar good luck.
It should be noted that the Paralympic Games will be held from August 24 to September 5, 2021.
