The Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the Andijan State Medical Institute was established by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute on 29.06.1983 at the Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the city of Andijan. The organization of the department was entrusted to the teacher of the Department of Internal Medicine, Associate Professor Yu. M. Mamedov and by the decision of the Academic Council he was elected to the position of head of the department (order 375-L).
After 25 years of exemplary leadership of the department, Professor Yu. M. Mamedov handed over the post of head of the department to Associate Professor T. A. Abdunazarov in 2008. Abdunazarov Tokhtasinboy headed the department in 2008-2014, then in 2019-2021 and retired in 2021. On March 26, 2014, PhD Z. A. Ergasheva was elected to the post of head of the department of clinical pharmacology and worked here for five years. On December 25, 2021, D. I. Kurbanova was elected head of the department.
The first textbook created at the department was created by the founder of the department, Professor Yusufjon Mamedov, and published by Ibn Sina Publishing House in 1999.
Prof. Yu. M. Mamadov and co-authors created the first Uzbek textbook on this subject in our country. (2003, Tashkent, “Ibn Sino”). The Latin version of the textbook was published in 2010 (Tashkent, “Turon-ikbal”). These textbooks are recommended by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan as textbooks for students of pharmaceutical and medical institutes of our Republic.
The department has been operating at the Andijan District Hospital since the 1985-1986 academic year, and at the central hospital of the Andijan City Medical Association since the 1995-1996 academic year to the present day.
Currently, senior lecturers of the department O. O. Eshonkhodjaev and Z. O. Kasymov and assistants N. K. Latipova, Zh. M. Islamov and Sh. I. Mamadaliev are working on their candidate dissertations.
From December 5, 2021 Kurbanova Diloromkhon Ibragimzhon kizi was elected to the position of head of the department for a term of five years. On March 7, 2022, she was awarded the “Sog’lom turmush” medal by the President of our Republic.
