Andijan State Medical Institute

The Department of Children’s Diseases of Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1958 by Associate Professor Ilyasov Anvar Ilyasovich. A.I.Ilyosov headed the department until 1963 and during this period assistants such as N.N Chukanin and E.S Yesina worked. The department was headed by N.N.Chukanin as a professor from 1977 to 1984. During 1984-1987, the department was divided into two, the department of pediatrics was headed by associate professor Yesina ES, and the department of hospital pediatrics was headed by professor Ya. Yu. Illek. From 1988 to 2000, the department was headed by Professor D.A.Settarova. From 2000 to 2005y. associate professor Sh.K. Khakimov worked as the head of the department. From 2006 to 2011, the name of the department was changed to “Course of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Emergency Pediatrics” and since then the department was headed by Professor O.S.Toshboev.
Since April 2013, the department “Children’s diseases, neonatology and emergency pediatrics” was headed by assistant professor B.B Inakova. The B.B.Inakova worked since 2016, the department has been called “Faculty Pediatrics and Neonatology” and since 2016 “Faculty Pediatrics and Neonatology”, and until 2023 the department was headed by Associate Professor B.B. Inakova. In March 2020, the head of the department, associate professor B.B.Inakova, was awarded the “Shuhrat” medal for her contribution to the development of medicine and the education of the young generation.Since June 2023, associate professor Shoira Khalilovna Atadjanova has been working as the head of the department. Currently, the department has professor Sh.K. Khakimov, associate professors B.B.Inakova, G.T.Nuritdinova, Sh.Kh. Atadjanova, X.A.Xusanova, senior teachers – B.Sh. Mahmudova, U.A.Arzibekova, X.Z.Djuraeva, assistants – M.O.Solieva, M.U.Bozorova, Yo.R. Farmonkulova , G.M.Alimova, M.Z. Abdumukhtarova, G.D. Abdullaeva are working
