A roundtable discussion on the topic “There is no place for corruption in our lives” was held in Andijan State Medical Institute dedicated to the fight against corruption with the participation of the representatives of administration and employees.
S. Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth issues and spiritual and educational affairs, opened the event with an introductory speech and noted that sharp and serious fight against corruption is carried on in our country. He touched on consistent reforms in all spheres, including higher education and medicine.
After that, the head of the State Security Service, U. Goyipov, spoke about the fact that important organizational and legal reforms have been implemented in the field of fighting corruption in our country in recent years, as well as the essence of the relevant decisions and decrees.
In addition, due to the establishment of anti-corruption structures in the state authorities and large economic entities, in the educational institutions especially during the examination process due to the end of the academic year, during the admission process for the new academic year the internal control is carried on. U. Goyipov mentioned that serious measures will be taken by the state to prevent corruption when transferring from one university to another.
S. Askarov, the head of the Institute’s Anti-Corruption and Compliance Control System Management Department said: “- Corruption is a terrible evil that torments the society in various ways. This vice undermines the foundations of democracy and the rule of law, leads to violations of human rights, hinders the functioning of markets, worsens the quality of life, and creates conditions for other phenomena of organized crime. “We must not allow this to happen, we must fight against it together,” he said.
