Today, on September 6, M. Madazimov, the rector of Andijan State Medical Institute met with the American specialists who visit our country in the frame of “Uzbekistan-USA health care week”.
At the meeting Ph.D. Yakov Elgudin, the head of the cardiothoracic surgery department of Case Western Reserve University of America, associate professor of the department and psychiatrist Ph.D. Larisa Elgudin emphasized that such meetings, international exchanges of teachers and students are of particular importance in training qualified specialists in the field of medicine. At this meeting a number of issues were discussed, such as establishing similar exchanges of experience.
Also, experts got acquainted with the conditions created for students in our institute to study and perform practical training: lecture halls, simulation zone, IT- centers and other departments. In addition, they met with students and talked about the news in the field, aspects important for perfect mastery of the profession.
The newly completed educational building of the institute and ADTI clinic impressed the guests greatly. She expressed her confidence that the future doctors who study and practice in such locations, which are equipped with such modern, all-convenient, world-standard medical equipment, will become the best specialists in the field of medicine in the nearest future.
In turn, the guests met the patients being treated at the institute’s departments, got acquainted with the methods of treatment and examined their condition. Yakov Elgudin participated in the operation and shared his experience.
