A round-table discussion on “Enlightenment against ignorance” was held in Andijan State Medical Institute. It was attended by N.Yuldashev, the chief specialist of the regional administration of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Y.Jahongirov, a senior teacher of Andijan State University, S.Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth issues and spiritual and educational affairs of our institute.
At the beginning of the round-table discussion, videos were offered to watch to the students’s attention about the value the peace; students were told not to be deceived by trusting various false information; interview of Nuriddin Khaliqnazarov, the chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan about the value of peace, humanitarianism and learning was demonstrated on the monitor of the screen.
After that the concepts of ignorance and enlightenment were discussed in detail, definitions were given in the round-table discussion. Y. Jahongirov explained in his speech that “Science is the only recipe that can resist any kind of ignorance.”
Here he paid students’ attention to the bright examples of the work done by our ancestors in the field of science, their achievements and the fact that they benefited people in many ways. Students received important information from the experts.
