Today, November 24, a roundtable discussion under the slogan “We are against violence!” has been organized in Andijan State Medical Institute with the initiative of the women’s council on the occasion of November 25 – the International Day for the Elimination the Violence against Women.
G. Kholmatova, rector’s advisor on women’s Issues, chairwoman of the Institute’s women’s advisory council, I. Yuldasheva, senior inspector of the department of crime prevention of the regional IIB, D. Kasimova, psychologist of the women’s rehabilitation center, G. Abduvokhidova institute women’s captain, senior inspector of prevention for girls’ issues participated there.
The speakers at the event gave a detailed opinion on the topic of strengthening women’s rights in society, preventing violence against them. Speakers stated that violence against women is an obstacle to achieving equality, development and peace, the rights of women and girls. Also, advice and recommendations on ways to overcome psychological problems of abused women were mentioned.
