Specialists from the Republic Specialized Scientific Practical Center of Endocrinology visited Andijan State Medical Institute.
They held practical sessions with clinical residents and master’s students in the Endocrinology direction of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Endocrinology.
Additionally, the specialists organized an in-depth medical examination for patients receiving treatment at the Andijan branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center named after Academician Y.X. Turakulov. During this examination, patients received necessary advice and recommendations.
Throughout the day, a scientific-practical conference was held focusing on the fields of endocrinology, cardiology, and nephrology. The event was attended by specialists from the center, staff from the Department of Hospital Therapy and Endocrinology at Andijan State Medical Institute, residents, and master’s students. During the conference, presentations were made on the following topics: “Cardiologist: The debut of SYY in type 2 diabetes: how to avoid missing the moment?”, “Nephrologist: Treating chronic kidney failure in patients with type 2 diabetes according to KDIGO-2024: pharmacological intervention,” and “Endocrinologist: Early diagnosis and SGLT2 inhibitors as strong cardiovascular protection for a broad population of patients with type 2 diabetes.”
Moreover, the guests visited the institute’s new 2000-seat educational building and became acquainted with the conditions being created for students. They particularly emphasized that the modern classrooms and opportunities in the Simulation Center will lay the foundation for students to become competent doctors in the future.
