As part of the “Urgent 90 Days” project promoted by our President, various activities have been organized by Andijan State Medical Institute to enhance the intellectual potential of young people, make their leisure time meaningful, promote sports among youth and foster a reading culture.

The next such event took place at Secondary School No. 9 in Khojaobod district. The event, held in cooperation with the Khojaobod District Khokimiyat (local government), involved members of the Uzbekistan Journalists Union, officials from the District Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment, deans and deputy deans of the Dentistry and Pharmacy faculties of Andijan State Medical Institute, staff leaders of the Institute’s Information-Resource Center, teachers from the school and student youth.
In the roundtable discussion titled “Books in My Life,” speakers shared deep reflections on the role of books in human life, their invaluable contribution to shaping thinking and worldview.

Books are sources of knowledge, spiritual nourishment, and the closest friends. Based on this idea, the following points were especially emphasized during the event: books develop human thinking, encourage reflection, and motivate the search for truth. Participants sincerely shared their thoughts about their favorite works, authors, and how these works have left an impact on their lives.

Teachers and students read poems and fairy tales by their favorite poets, and discussions were held on their moral and ethical content. Musical and artistic performances by students created a joyful and uplifting atmosphere for all attendees.
Additionally, important proposals and initiatives were put forward to promote reading among young people, develop library culture, and foster love for books even in the digital age.

Shuningdek, yoshlar orasida kitobxonlikni keng targ‘ib qilish, kutubxona madaniyatini rivojlantirish va raqamli davrda ham kitobga bo‘lgan muhabbatni yo‘qotmaslik haqida muhim taklif va tashabbuslar ilgari surildi.

The event left a warm impression on all participants. It was reaffirmed once again that books are the greatest wealth that fills human life with meaning. Certificates of appreciation were presented to active participants by the Institute’s rector.
