Today, on October 3, “Fighting Drug Addiction is Everyone’s Duty” a round table discussion dedicated to raising awareness among young people about drug addiction and collective fighting this evil has been held at Andizhan State Medical Institute.
The first vice-rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of Andizhan State Medical Institute S. Salohiddinov, the head of the Anti-Drug Department of the Criminal Investigation Department of Andizhan City Internal Affairs Directorate Captain F. Sharofiddinov spoke at the event and provided information about the impact of drug addiction on society, legal measures as well as preventive measures.
Also, the head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Andijan State Medical Institute associate professor A. Mirzayev, Ph.D.,and assistant professor I. Kozimjonova gave detailed explanations in their reports about protection from drug addiction, professional and personal responsibility and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The event was attended by active participation of students of the Institute, who expressed a lively interest in the topic with their questions and opinions.
The main goal of the round table discussion is to understand the responsibility of each person in preventing drug addiction and to contribute to building a healthy, safe society.
