On October 9-10 of this year, an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “Current Issues in Surgery and Combustiology” is being held at Andijan State Medical Institute.
Today, the first day of the conference took place. Leading specialists from countries such as the Russian Federation, Germany, Azerbaijan, India, Nepal, and Uzbekistan are participating.
Guests attending the conference were welcomed with a festive welcome to the sounds of the Andijan polka and music.
The conference was opened by M. Madazimov, the rector of Andijan State Medical Institute. Following this, participants were sincerely greeted online by A. Khudayarov, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Q. Sharipov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and A. Revishvili, the director of the National Scientific Research Center for Surgery named after A.V. Vishnevsky, who wished success for the conference proceedings.
During the conference, specialist Andrey Anatolevich Alekseyev from the Russian Federation congratulated all participants and presented commemorative gifts to the rector M. Madazimov.
After the greetings, a plenary session was held. Specialists from Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, and the USA presented their reports within the scope of the topic. A total of 43 specialists delivered their presentations divided into three sections.
During the conference, over 50 topics were discussed, including the history and modern state of combustiology in Uzbekistan and Russia, surgical rehabilitation of burn-injured patients, tracheal stricture stenosis: complex surgical solutions and rehabilitation, and lymphological aspects of prevention and treatment of tertiary peritonitis.
It is worth noting that the international scientific-practical conference will continue tomorrow, October 10, with master classes planned to be conducted by specialists.
