The Students’ Theater Studio has continuously demonstrated its commitment to discovering new talents since its establishment at Andijan State Medical Institute. Passionate young men and women who are eager for the arts demonstrate their abilities and have consistently secured top positions in various competitions.
Today, on October 10, “Best Students’ Theater Studio” competition took place among the faculties of our institute, featuring the most talented students from different faculties. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including the first vice-rector for Youth and Spiritual-Moral Affairs S. Salohiddinov, the chief director of the Regional Puppet Theater and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, a mentor to Uzbekistan’s youth Baxodir Jabborov, actor of theater, cinema and television Otkirbek Shukurov and actor of Andijan Regional Drama Theater, television and cinema Jamshid Ruziyev. The distinguished jury members impartially evaluated the performances.
The teams from various faculties presented compelling plays: Pharmacy faculty performed “Lost Dream,” Therapeutic faculty presented “You Became My Dear,” Pediatrics faculty staged “We Are Against Corruption and Drugs,” Dentistry faculty showcased “The Herd.” Through these performances, students poignantly depicted the realities of contemporary life – the pain points, the histories of individuals, joys and anxieties – delivering their messages with both depth and humor.
As a result of the competition, the winners were announced:
The first place: the team of Therapeutic Faculty.
The second place: the team of Pediatrics Faculty.
The third place: the team of Pharmacy Faculty.
In addition, the most deserving individuals were recognized in the following nominations:
Therapeutic Faculty team received awards for the “Best Play” and for the “Best Female Role.”
The Pediatric Faculty team was honored for “Interpretation of National Traditions and Values.”
The Pharmacy Faculty team was awarded for “On-Topic Theatrical Interpretation.”
The Dentistry Faculty team member was recognized for the “Best Male Role.”
This event exemplified the spirit of creativity and cultural expression among the students, fostering pride and excellence in the arts within our academic community.
