On October 15, 2025, the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases and Polyclinic Pediatrics of Andijan State Medical Institute held an international scientific and practical conference and seminar on the topic “Perenatal and Pediatric Surgery: Early Detection of Birth Defects, Problems and Opportunities” with the participation of Professor Ibrahim Alatash of Istanbul Bekent Medical University, the Republic of Turkey.
The conference was attended by all employees of the departments of the Institute, scientific researchers, graduate students and clinical residents and practicing doctors of Andijan province. First, the guests got acquainted with the practical exercises and skills development of students in the Simulation and Certification Center of the Institute with the aim of preparation for surgical practice.
At the beginning of the conference, the vice-rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the Institute K. Salohiddinov, delivered the congratulatory message of the rector of the Institute to the participants of the conference. In his opening remarks, he spoke about the establishment of warm relations between Andijan State Medical Institute and Benkent University, signing the agreements and contracts aimed at the development of science.
The participant of the conference professor Ibrahim Alatash presented extensive information on the use of modern practices for surgical diseases, which are among the urgent problems of perinatology, and on the methods of surgical treatment on the topic of “Fetal surgery, Spina bifida operations” (operations performed in the womb). The topic raised especially great interest, and, at the end of the conference, many questions were asked by the participants to which full answers were received.
