The third international scientific-practical conference on dentistry and maxillofacial surgery titled “Maksudov’s Readings” was held at the Dagestan State Medical University. This year’s event marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the university’s dental faculty.
Around 300 participants, including leading scientists, practitioners, and specialists from Russia, Uzbekistan, and Belarus attended the conference.
Welcoming the attendees, Professor Visampasha Khanaliev, Rector of DSMU, highlighted the significance of the conference in advancing both dental science and practice, emphasizing the contribution made by the faculty in training highly qualified professionals.
The conference featured plenary sessions, lectures, seminars and discussions covering innovative technologies in dentistry, diagnostic and treatment methods, therapeutic and surgical dentistry, orthopedics and orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, implantology and reconstructive surgery. During the conference, DSMU employees and honored guests were awarded for their contribution to the development of healthcare and medical education.
The conference was also attended by the Head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Andijan State Medical Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor M. Teshaboyev, who presented congratulations and commemorative gifts from the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Boboyev and the Rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute M. Madazimov, as well as the institute’s badges.
This conference proved to be a significant milestone in the field of dentistry, providing participants with opportunities to exchange experiences, discuss current issues, and identify new approaches aimed at improving the quality of dental care services available to the public.
